How to choose an inverter?

1.Determine what the battery voltage is, and what is the capacity of the battery?

If your battery output voltage is 12V.you have to choose a 12V inverter. The size of the battery will directly affect the size of the charger. The laeger the battery,the more electrical appliances it can carry.

Such as 12Vbattery *60AH capacity *0.8 conversion rate + 576W or less can be brought.

2.What kind of electrical appliances can I bring?

Electrical appliances are divided into resistive loads and inductive load appliances.

Resisstive appliances:

computers,televisions,fans,electric lights and other household appliances.

Inductive appliances:

refrigerators,washing machines,jce machines,hand drills,pumps,sanders,etc.

Resistive appliances do not have starting power,and inductive appliances have starting power,which is generally between 3 and 7 times.

Therefore, it is necessary to detemine whether the appliances is a resistive appliances or an inductive appliance.

3.How big is the electrical power?

2000W inverter,continuous power is 1000W,starting power is 2000W.

3000W inverter,continuous power is 1500W.starting power is 3000W.

4000W inverter,continuous power is 2000W,starting power is 4000W.

It is 2000W which can carry ordinary resistive appliances within 1000W,3000W can bring 1500W electrical appliances,such as:computer, TV,fan,electric light, these are resistive appliances can be brought.

Hpwever,the inductive load appliance has a starting power of 3-7 times,the continuous power meets the condition,and the starting power must also meet the conditions before it can be driven.

FOR EXAMPLE

If the battery is 12V/60AH,can you use a 2000W inverter with a 500W hard drill ?

1.First look at the maximum battery charger is :12*60*0.8 = 576W,>500W.

2.Determine whether the electrical appliance is a resistive electrical appliance or an inductive electrical appliance: the hand drill is an inductive electric drill.

3.The continuous power of the hand drill is 500W,and the duration of 2000W is 1000W,>500W.

The starting power is generally about 3 times (the starting power of dofferent electrical appliances is different) so 500W X 3 = 1500W, the starting power of the 2000W inverter is 2000W,>1500W Therefore,the 500W hand drill can be used with a 12V/60AH battery and a 2000W inverter.

How to choose a suitable battery for inverter

Working time = U (voltage payment) × I (battery capacity) × 0.8 × 0.9 ÷ electrical power

Example: a 12V 50AH battery with a 220V 100W bulb

Working time=12Vx50AH×0.8×0.9÷100W=4.32(hours)

Note: 0.8 is the battery discharge coefficient (constant) 0.9 is the conversion efficiency of the inverter (constant)

How long it can be used is also related to the new and old performance of your battery

Note:

12V's inverter only can link 12V's battery (Normal operating range is from 9.5V to 15.5V) and 24V's inverter only can link 24V's battery (Normal operating range is from 19.5V to 28.5V)

12V60hz 4000W inverter only can link 12V's battery (Normal operating range is from 9.5V to 17V)

Don't connect the inverter to the household circuit!

When using 12V/24V to connect the cigarette lighter wire in the car, please do not exceed 120W. Otherwise the car fuse will blow!
